Topbox is a Canadian monthly subscription service that delivers 4-5 beauty products to your door every month. When you subscribe, you are able to fill out a wishlist of products you would prefer. However, from browsing Instagram and seeing others' boxes, I feel that the wishlist is a very basic guideline, and doesn't have too much impact on the contents of your box.

You can request to receive the package in a cardboard tube or an organza bag. I requested the bag, as I like how that looks, and it's certainly reusable.

So first, here's a pic of the contents:

This month, I received four items - a replenishing mask by Masker Aide, an Elizabeth Arden serum, a mini Makeup Forever Smoky Extravagant mascara, and a full-size StarLooks pencil in Ultraviolet.  I really like the card that comes along with the makeup, detailing the contents and prices of the full size versions. The package also came with a 10% off promo code for the Masker Aide website.

Replenish mask, and the info card

Pros:  It's always handy having a mask for those at-home spa days. I rarely use masks, so this is a fun treat. I was a little nervous about the eyeliner, but I tried it on, and it looks great! The pencil is fairly soft, so it doesn't tug at all, and I'm happy that it is a full size. The serum is quite nice, though I don't know if it really made a difference on my skin.

Cons: I was a little disappointed with the MUFE mascara, as I'd already tried that, and it does smudge after a couple hours on me. And the Elizabeth Arden serum is tiny! I was barely able to get three uses out of that, and that was sparingly too.

Overall, I'm somewhat satisfied with this month's box. I will use the mask and the eyeliner (on the odd occasion). The serum and the mascara, though, aren't the greatest. Since this is my first topbox, I kept my expectations low, so I'm not too disappointed. I'm looking forward to seeing what's in November's box, and hopefully I'll be surprised!
